We stayed in our hostel for the local pizza-night... :P
And then it started to rain, again... :(
The guy at the reception told us that they had been waiting for this rain.
(Us NOT !!!)
And that it would stay rainy for the next 12 days.
So the next day we didn’t do much, except for a walk to the beach-front for breakfast, and hanging out in our Hostel.
And in the afternoon, we visited the local Koala Park & Wildlife Tour. Which is actually part of our hostel.
In the evening we went to the next town (Nelly Bay) where we had diner in a nice Thai restaurant. (Thai Again)
The next morning, the weather wasn’t too bad.
So after a really nice breakfast at Cafe Nourish we started our coastal walk around Magnetic Island.
Starting from the beach at Horseshoe Bay, then Balding Bay, via Radical Bay to Florence Bay, and to Arthur Bay.
Continuing onto the Forts Walk, where we saw some (really wet) koala’s in the wild.(L)
A rewarding (wet) walk.
And afterwards we participated in the Trivia Night at our hostel.
The next morning, we left really early to the Ferry Terminal to go wreck-diving on the SS Yongala, which is in the Top 10 (maybe even Top 5) of Wreck Dives around the world.
When we arrived at the ferry terminal we were told that the trip was canceled, due to the high sea-state... :(
(What a bummer...)
So, we took the ferry to Townsville, where we spent the rest of the day.
The next day, we took the early Greyhound-bus to Airlie Beach.
